Biography

Jodi Brothers is officially the luckiest lady in the world, as she becomes the newest member of The Mountain Morning Show! After being raised in New Jersey, Jodi attended The Ohio State University and started her radio career at WWCD 101. She moved to Seattle in 2000 to work with a great morning show that was fired in 2005 when machines took over for men. That turned out to be the best thing, however, because during Jodi's "extended vacation", she met and married her husband.
She also spent lots of time with friends, and found all sorts of hiking, martinis, concerts, books, and movies to keep her busy. Jodi lives in West Seattle with her husband, two dogs, one cat, and literally couldn't be happier to be able to join her friends Marty and Brian and work at her favorite radio station in Seattle - The Mountain!!!!

Jodi's Desert Island Discs
(These are subject to change as the wind blows):

Portishead - Dummy
This is a classic chill out disc. Imagine audio red wine if you will...

The Shins - Oh, Inverted World
My absolute favorite band ever. If we could only choose one disc instead of three this would be it...

U2 - The Joshua Tree
Do I even have to explain this one? My cat is named Bono. 'Nuff said.

A note from Jodi
hi everyone! thank you for all your supportive emails and phone calls this first week of work at the mountain. i must say, waking up at 4am isn't a natural thing for me...it's been over 2 years since i was accustomed to this lifestyle. i'm so tired these past few days i can barely scrape this note together to be honest. but for all the weeknights i stayed up late with friends, all the concerts i could go to on a wednesday that i would've missed if i was working, all the days i woke up and spent the day doing whatever i wanted...i am more then happy to trade it all in to be back doing what i love. seriously. i think there was a moment when i thought my husband and i were going to have to be that cliche radio family that has to move from city to city so i could work. we came close to leaving seattle, but neither of us could imagine living anywhere else so we stayed on...and hoped this would come through for me. i can only hope that everyone reading this gets a chance to fight for something they really want...and get it!!
