Loose chimp steals gun!
Ok, that headline was a tad sensationalist... Yesterday in a Japanese zoo, a chimp (named Ichiro, by the way) escaped from his cage and was hanging out on top of a roof. He proceeds to steal a gun from a zoo worker (loaded with a knock-out dart, don't worry PETA). They do finally disract him with a banana and get him tranquilized and safely back in his cage. But, man, I don't envy that guy who gets his gun yanked from his hands! Whew!

Today's video of the day is from a June 18th Bruce Springsteen concert in Amsterdam. To set this up, at the end of each show, Bruce likes to pick a request from someone in the crowd. This evening he picks "Summertime Blues", but the really cool part is that its obvious that he and the guys from the E Street Band obviously haven't practiced the song together and perform it very much off the cuff...

Josh Hamilton - Raging Hero of the Day
Josh Hamilton the Texas Ranger outfielder dominated the Major League Baseball Home Run Derby on Monday July 14th. After taking a couple years off due to drug addiction, Josh returned in 2006 to start as an American League center fielder in the All star game and hit 28 home runs in the first round, breaking the previous record of 26.
